The Arc'teryx GORE-TEX Sidewinder is a technical freeride shell built for riders who push into serious mountain terrain. Originally launched 25 years ago as proof that Gore-Tex could hold up on the steepest lines, the 2027 edition returns with a modernized fit and updated materials — still uncompromising, still built for the mountain.

Constructed with Gore-Tex 3L mapped across the body and hood — using a recycled nylon face fabric free from intentionally added PFAS — the Sidewinder delivers full waterproof and windproof protection without sacrificing breathability. The relaxed fit moves freely over layering, pit zippers allow rapid venting when the effort ramps up, and the signature thermomoulded Sidewinder zipper cups the chin guard to eliminate chafe. The helmet-compatible StormHood™ with brim holds its shape in wind, while gusseted Velcro® cuffs and a cinching hem seal out the elements at every opening. Storage includes two hand pockets, a chest pocket, two internal mesh dump pockets (one with a zip), a sleeve pass pocket, and a stash pocket. A RECCO® reflector is integrated for search-and-rescue visibility.
